PortaDot 100-75 Handheld Dot Peen Marking
The PortaDot 100-75 is a heavy-weight handheld dot peen marking machine, in Pryor's PortaDot range. The machine's marking area measures 100mm x 75mm (4 inches x 3 inches) and is suitable for dot peen engraving serial numbers, 2D Data Matrix, logos and manufacturer information onto surfaces for asset tracking and component tracing purposes. The PortaDot 100-75 can permanently engrave a range of engineering materials, up to a maximum hardness of 62HRc (find out more about the Rockwell scale here).
Dot Peen Marking Machine Features
Programmed using the Series 4000 Embedded Controller Pryor PortaDot models use an electromagnetic solenoid driven stylus to indent a series of dots. The PortaDot 100-75 is supplied with a 90° stylus measuring 50mm long with 4mm diameter, featuring a carbide tip for longevity. This model can also be supplied as a pneumatically powered dot peen marking machine.
The PortaDot 100-75 is designed for stability, with large handles on two sides of the machine, enabling the user to easily operate the dot marker in both orientations.
The PortaDot 100-75 is supplied with a set of flat and V-notched face masks suitable for marking on flat
surfaces and curved surfaces from 0mm to 400mm diameter (depending on mask in use).
The machine comes with a 5 meter detachable head cable which connects the dot peen marking head to the Series 4000 Controller, to programme and control the marking machine.

Portable Controller: For truly portable dot peen marking without compromising on power, quality and durability, users have the option of the battery powered Series 4000 Controller. This fully portable option and does not require mains power.

Pneumatic Power: For deep marking applications, the PortaDot 100-75 can be pneumatically powered and requires compressed air supply

Extra Stability: Fitting an Electromagnetic Clamp reduces the possibility of movement during marking

Stylus Options: For aerospace marking applications or for marking soft or coated materials, Pryor can supply a range of alternate stylus. Options include stylus manufactured to meet the IAQG aerospace marking specification and stylus with a wider or shallower tip angle.
Machine Vision: Incorporating an integrated camera enables verification of mark quality for advanced traceability within the supply chain. This option requires Pryor Traceability Software and a PC to operate the software and camera.
Feature Finder: This advanced feature enables automatic alignment of the dot peen mark against existing features
